Progression is the only constant in China’s digital ecosystem and since 2006, CIC have maintained our position at the prow of this relentless forge forwards with monthly installments of IWOM Watch. Much has been said, predominantly but not exclusively by we CICers, about the unmatched dynamism and diversity of the digital and social landscape of the Middle Kingdom. It’s really put into perspective at this time of year though, as we compile the IWOM Watch greatest hits for our annual compilation. 2012 was certainly no exception, as the technologies, techniques and tastes of China’s digital consumer evolved to increasingly blur the boundaries between “online” and “offline”, and further propel social media towards social business.
